Glenn Wilson is Vice President of Interior Design for Marriott International, Inc. Based at the company’s headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, she has overall responsibility for the Interior Design of Marriott International’s hotel brands in Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia, including the Middle East. This includes both managed and franchised properties and spans seven lodging brands and brand extensions in over 48 countries. Ms. Wilson joined Marriott as a Junior Designer and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility and scope. She held the position of Director of Interior Design for the continental US. Later she was promoted to Director of Interior Design for Marriott’s International Division. In 1997, she was appointed Vice President of International Interior Design. She went on to become Vice President of Interior Design of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2002. Late in 2005, Ms. Wilson rejoined Marriott’s rapidly expanding International program managing interior design offices and designers in Bethesda, Hong Kong, Mumbai, London, Paris, and Dubai. Accomplished in all facets of hotel project realization from site and market analysis, design concept and concept evaluations, interiors coordination and budgetary parameters, Ms. Wilson has been a key contributor to the Interior Design of many outstanding hotels in North America and around the world. This includes such landmark projects as the New York Marquis, Atlanta Marquis, Desert Springs Marriott, and Orlando World Center Marriott. Internationally, Ms. Wilson and her team have managed high profile projects such as the JW Marriott hotels in Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok and Mumbai. They have also supervised the design efforts for Marriott on such prestigious projects as the Renaissance St. Pancras, Renaissance Le Parc, Renaissance Bangkok, the new European Courtyard prototype as well as the new Fairfield India product. At Ritz-Carlton, she directed the Interior Design efforts for Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Club, Ritz-Carlton Residences and Bulgari brands worldwide. Ms. Wilson and her team were instrumental in creating many landmark hotels in the luxury tier such as the Milan Bulgari, and the Ritz-Carlton hotels in Berlin, Dallas, South Beach, Tokyo, Beijing Financial, Jakarta, Santiago, and Moscow. Ms. Wilson attended Richmond College in Richmond, Surrey England studying Fine Art and Interior Design in Europe. She is a graduate of the International Institute of Interior Design with a BS degree in Interior Design. She has also completed Marriott’s Executive Development Program, at the Aspen Institute. Ms. Wilson is a founding member of the Washington D.C. chapter of the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality and continues to be active in this national organization today. Ms. Wilson is also on the Board of The National Center for Arts & Technology.
